Having just her 4th start in Australia and for the team at Kim Waugh Racing, Whanga Wonder looked well-placed in the BM 72 Midway on Saturday at Rosehill and relishing the step up in trip to 2000m the win was never in doubt as aided by a lovely ride from apprentice Tyler Schiller, she travelled in behind the leader throughout before taking the shortcuts along the inside to stride clear and win by almost a length and a half, being very strong through the line.

It was also very exciting for the team to see her owners Bryan and Dee Black travel all the way over from New Zealand for the day to watch Wonder win before rushing off to catch their plane back to New Zealand at 3pm!
