Trumbull has been absolutely flying this preparation and whether it has been a slow getaway or bad luck in running, he has deadset been a certainty beat on more than a couple of occasions so it was extremely satisfying for all concerned on Saturday when he took out the Listed 1350m Civic Stakes in dominating fashion at Rosehill!
With Tommy Berry aboard Trumbull jumped quickly to travel in the box seat, tracking the leaders in 4th position. Coming to the home turn when the leader commenced to drift away from the fence, Tommy took advantage and steered Trumbull through the gap and the rest as they say was history!
Showing his super turn of foot Trumbull strode clear to score by a length and in doing so made his trainer and connections very happy!
