It was great to see Victorella break through at just her second race start at Newcastle on Tuesday, after finishing a terrific 3rd on debut at the same track over 900m.
Stepping up in trip to 1200m, Victorella was able to travel in the first couple before improving her position as they worked into the home straight and despite being a little green in the run home, Victorella knuckled down strongly to win by half a length.
This lovely filly by Press Statement has now gone to the paddock for a break and the stable looks forward to her return in about 8 weeks time.
