The 4yo son of Darci Brahma had enjoyed little luck this preparation courtesy of a couple of slow getaways which saw him racing back in the field and wide and off the track at his most recent start.
With fellow Kiwi James McDonald aboard Trumbull surprised everyone on Saturday when he ended up in front!
Kicking strongly at the top of the straight Trumbull never looked like getting beat extending nicely over the 1200m trip to score by a length and a quarter extending his winning record to 4 wins and 5 placings from just the 10 starts.
