True Crime showed nice improvement from his first-up run when finishing 2nd and coming off just the one barrier trial was well-primed for his 2nd-up run at Canterbury on Friday night.

Taking on the older horses in the BM 72 over 1200m , the 3yo son of Sooboog was sent straight to the front by Tyler Schiller and whilst he was challenged in earnest by the veteran and winner of 6 races Lancaster Bomber who actually got a neck in front of him half-way up the home straight, True Crime fought back gallantly to gain the upper hand and being strong through the line went on to win by a long head.

Congratulations to his owners and to all the team!
