Talented 3yo True Crime built on his already impressive race record when he led all the way to win the 1400m $150,000 heat of the Provincial/Midway Championship at Newcastle on Thursday with Tyler Schiller riding like a man possessed!
Drawing wide out in 12 Tyler executed perfectly, jumping positively yet at the same time letting True Crime coast across so he wasn’t overdoing things.
Once in front Tyler rated him to perfection and True Crime did exactly what he has done in previous wins, fought courageously when challenged just like the warrior and bulldog that he is taking his excellent record to 4 wins, 2 2nd’s, 1 3rd from just 9 starts with over 300k in prizemoney and all in just his 2nd race preparation! Not bad for a 25k purchase!
True Crime will not run again until the 1400m 500k final on the 8th of April with Kim electing to give him a barrier trial in between.
