First starter Trojan Angel had put the writing on the wall with 2 impressive trials, so it was no surprise to see the daughter of Time for War win on debut in the 1000m maiden at Taree with Grant Buckley aboard.
Jumping quickly from her awkward, outside barrier the filly was able to travel in 3rd position tracking the leaders throughout. Despite racing a little greenly in the home straight Trojan Angel proved too strong for her more experienced opposition and looks certain to add to that winning tally in the future.
