With just one barrier trial under his belt it was great to see Tinka’s Lad resume a winner at Gosford on Thursday aided by a peach of a ride from apprentice Dylan Gibbons in the BM 64 over 1200m.
Travelling in the box seat behind the leaders, Tinka’s was strung up in the middle of horses rounding the home bend with Dylan showing plenty of patience but once the run presented itself on straightening, Tinka’s pushed his way into the clear to score by a 1/4 of a length, taking his winning tally to 4 from 12 starts.
