Spring Charlie extended his impressive winning record to 4 wins from just the 6 career starts with a gutsy victory at Warwick Farm on Wednesday!
With not much pace in the race popular kiwi apprentice Sam Weatherley was able to position Spring just in behind the leading division, travelling in 4th position throughout. Eased to the outside just before the home turn Spring Charlie as he usually does took a few strides to hit his straps and full momentum.
Once balanced in the straight and under strong riding from Sam, Spring Charlie pinned his ears back and attacked the line with great tenacity, scoring by a long neck.
Earlier in the day our beautiful boy White Boots continued his great run of consistency with a courageous 3rd placing in the 2200m race. From his 6 runs this preparation Boots has won 3 and placed on the other 3 occasions. He will now enjoy a well-deserved spell.
Our 3rd runner of the day was Mo The Great who despite travelling 3 wide without cover throughout, finished 5th only beaten just over two lengths!
