Sir Godric put the writing on the wall first-up at Newcastle when he ran a terrific race to finish 2nd to the short-priced favourite so it was no surprise to see him go one better at Wyong on Thursday where he was once again ridden by Jay Ford.

Ridden confidently by Jay Ford Sir Godric did a a bit of work early before crossing to travel outside the leader and 2nd favourite Frosbie in the 1350m midway maiden.

Staying at around that same trip as first up, Sir Godric was no doubt looking for that little bit further but with Jay Ford guiding him around the home turn, once fully balanced in the home straight Sir Godric was very strong late and as Jay said in his post race report he was always confident of beating the leader!

Sir Godric a handsome son of Dundeel looks a lovely staying 3yo with good potential!

Congratulations to his owners and to all the team!
