Shadows of Love returned in the great order from her break and put the writing on the wall with an impressive barrier trial win at Wyong before stepping out as a very short-priced favourite in the provincial only maiden over 1100m first-up at Hawkesbury and whilst there were a few scary moments when she was locked in behind a couple of long shots that shared the lead before dropping out, once her rider Keagan Latham was able to push out in to the clear Shadows of Love did the rest to win by over a length.
