Off the back of showing talent in two recent barrier trials, Sarah Elizabeth lined up for her race debut in the 1100m maiden at Hawkesbury on Thursday as race favourite and certainly didn’t disappoint when she overcame adversity to score a courageous win with Jay Ford in the saddle.

Drawing out wide and once the filly was beaten for speed early, she was eased in behind the pace, travelling in 6th spot in a 3 wide position.  Eased wide on straightening and despite racing greenly she found the line strongly to score by a long neck.

Congratulations to Jeremy Ruz the owner of the 3yo filly by Sebring and to all the team!
