Great to see Riley Park break through at Hawkesbury yesterday winning the Sky Racing Maiden Handicap (1600m).

The 5yo son of Vancouver was resuming from a four-week freshen-up, and was given a lovely ride by Adam Hyeronimus.

Jumping away, Hyeronimu allowed Riley Park time when the gates opened, and found a lovely rythym, settling fifth and half a dozen lengths from the leader in the early stages.

Approaching the home turn, Hyeronimus started to stoke Riley Park up, and got the back of well-fancied runner, Tokyo Run as the field entered the straight.

Easing to the outside with clear room ahead, Riley Park knuckled down over the final furlong to record a strong win, with a quarter of a length to spare.

Congratulations to all of his owners.
