Despite being uncomfortable in the heavy going, Oxford Tycoon was able to finish a gutsy 2nd at Rosehill on Saturday!
Ridden by Brenton Avdulla Tycoon was able to settle in 3rd position tracking the speed before improving wider on the track as they straightened for home.
With plenty of horse underneath him Brenton had the handsome chestnut still on the bit at the top of the lane but once he let him off the bridle to extend, Tycoon seemed to lose his balance and wandered in and out before finally balancing up again late to finish 2nd.
No doubt he will be much better suited on top of the ground so let’s hope the disappointing Rosehill surface can improve come Saturday week!
