Mizella was forced to overcome a slow getaway which saw her settle close to last which was definitely not the plan heading into her maiden at Port Macquarie today! With local jockey Matthew McGuren staying cool and calm despite the slow jump Mizella was able to find a way through the pack and with the speed on up front was able to finish off strongly to break her maiden at just her 4th race start.
