With just 7 starts producing 3 wins and 2 placings Knight is certainly building an impressive race record for his trainer Kim Waugh and connections!
Stepping up to a Class 5 in the 3rd heat of the Summer Provincial Series and being only a class 2 horse, Knight was not done any favours by the set weights conditions but like any progressive type he was able to overcome adversity once again to score a tough and tenacious win.
Sent forward to travel in 2nd position Knight travelled beautifully in the run before going with the leader when the pace quickened at the 700m mark. Taking off a long way from home, Knight took the lead on straightening and despite getting understandably a bit tired late he scored by a long neck to secure his place in the 150k Final to be run on the 2nd of January at Wyong.
