King Hewitt had initially resumed from a spell in April this year where he finished an unlucky 3rd, but after setback after setback he was finally able to head back to the track on Wednesday at Warwick Farm where he finished an impressive close up 2nd.
Settling toward the rear of the field from his wide gate, his rider Tommy Berry gave him a peach of a ride, sticking to the inside and saving many lengths in the process.
