Goathland has certainly had a knack of finishing 4th lately and he did it again at Rosehill on Saturday where he was just beaten for 3rd place in the G3 Colin Stephen handicap! That makes it three 4th place finishes from his four runs this preparation.
He has certainly been a model of consistency for the stable and no doubt with a little more luck in running would have finished closer.
At this stage the stable is looking at targeting the $150,000 Port Macquarie Cup over 2000m on October 5th.
