The Mistral headed to Muswellbrook for his first race start on Monday and made a winning debut with a dominant victory in the 1000m maiden with Serg Lisnyy aboard.
With the speed on in earnest up front, the 3yo son of Casino Prince was eased to take a sit in behind the pace, before coming widest runner in the home straight, letting down strongly to score by a length.
