Heading to Rosehill with just the 3 runners it was a terrific thrill to come away with a winning double for the stable and also for our rider 3kg apprentice Dylan Gibbons with French Bonnet and Kingsheir both saluting the judge!

Great to see French Bonnet bounce back in to the winners circle after a luckless run at Hawkesbury where she was galloped on and going too quick in front at Randwick at her previous start. Coming back to the 2 week turn around, French Bonnet enjoyed a beautiful run in behind the leaders from her ideal inside gate and whilst there were a few scary moments in the home straight, once she finally got clear and out into the open, she gained momentum to win by almost a length, being strong through the line.

Our 2nd winner Kingsheir, a newcomer to the stable had only been given the one 1000m barrier trial going into his first-up run and whilst he had terrific first-up form he did look in need of the run, being big in condition.

But no one told that to the King as he settled well back in 7th position off a pretty genuine tempo up front and when asked to improve he made a long sustained run and just kept finding the line for young Dylan Gibbons to score by a quarter of a length.

Well done to all our owners and to all the team!
