Dimaggio has been an absolute model of consistency since joining the stable earlier this year so it was well-deserved to see him break through for a metro win at Canterbury on Friday night with Rory Hutchings aboard!
Leading all the way over the 1550m Dimaggio gave a great kick at the top of the straight before being challenged in earnest by the race favourite Akasawa in the final stages. With Dimaggio pinning his ears back and Rory riding aggressively the pair never gave up and held on to win by a long neck with the 3rd horse 2 lengths away.
