Celer proved too strong for his older more experienced rivals scoring convincingly at his second career start in The Doylo Maiden Plate over 100om at Wyong.

The Excellerbration gelding jumped beautifully from the barriers to sit outside the leader with leading Sydney jockey, Blake Shinn aboard, Celer travelled sweetly during the race. The pair biding their time before Blake gave the lightly raced 2yr old his head just after straightening sprinting quickly over the concluding stages to score a stylish victory against his older more experienced rivals. “That was a nice way to break through for his first win to take on older horses at only his second start indicates to me that he is certainly a nice horse for the future and will continue to improve as he gains more experience. Celer responded well to the addition of the tongue tie and Blake rode him beautifully he was always travelling like the winner and it was very pleasing to see him let down like he did. I will take him home and find another suitable race in the coming weeks’ added Kim.
