Recent stable acquisition Camaguey hasn’t taken long to repay his new owners with a brilliant win at just his 5th start in his first preparation for his new trainer and new connections!

Previously raced by Godolphin then sold on Inglis Digital to a band of owners from Victoria, Camaguey who was given to Kim to train, put the writing on the wall 3 starts ago when he travelled 3 wide without cover throughout before finishing the closest of 2nd’s over 1550m.

Stepping up to the 1800m at his next start Camaguey never saw clear air, finishing a very unlucky 5th so it was a well-deserved victory for everyone involved to see Camaguey courtesy of a brilliant Nash Rawiller ride travel in 6th position throughout before storming home to win by one and a quarter lengths!

Being already qualified for the Big and Little Dance in November, Camaguey will head to the paddock for a short freshen and return in about a weeks time to prepare for Melbourne Cup day at Randwick!
