Whilst Black Jacamar finished an encouraging 2nd on debut, the 3yo daughter of Dream Ahead went one better at Kempsey on Friday when she overcame a wide gate to travel on-pace and score an easy win with Serg Lisnyy aboard.

With a 2nd and a win from just the 2 starts, the lightly-framed Black Jacamar will now head to the spelling paddock for a well-earned break with the stable looking forward to the filly returning bigger and stronger next time around.

Congratulations to her owners and to all the team!
