Wow how exciting for the Waugh stable, with 3 runners set to compete in the $500,000 Provincial Championship Final at Randwick on Saturday!
With Safado and Spring Charlie qualifying for the final by running 1st and 2nd in the first heat at Hawkesbury, little bulldog Fuchu (pictured) who had finished a close up 4th in the next heat at Newcastle was left as 2nd Emergency.
Just after lunch today the news had come through that there was a second scratching and Fuchu had gained a start.
And in more good news the track appears to be drying out at Randwick with fine weather all week which is a must for all 3 of our horses as they all prefer the good/better side of soft track surface.
