The Waugh stable has 2 great chances in Safado (pictured) and Spring Charlie in the first heat of the Provincial Championships at Hawkesbury on Sunday.
Safado has had the two runs back from a spell producing a win and a 3rd while Spring Charlie, winner of 5 from 7, resumes from a break on the back of two impressive barrier trials.
Safado with Jason Collett aboard should enjoy the run of the race from barrier 3 whilst Spring Charlie from barrier 6 with Blake Shinn aboard should be able to settle in the first four.
The track is currently rated a soft 6 with Hawkesbury so far missing most of the rain that the coastal areas have had over the last couple of days.
Oxford Bella is the stable’s other runner on the day, lining up in the 1100m maiden handicap. The daughter of Bel Esprit has trialled nicely on two occasions and from barrier 2 with Blake Shinn aboard looks a terrific top 3 chance!
