Spring Charlie, (pictured) winner of 4 from 6 heads the team racing at Randwick on the Kensington track on Monday. The 4yo son of Myboycharlie will be joined by Mo The Great and Manhattan Mist.
Starting off with Spring Charlie in race 3, from barrier one the gelding should enjoy the run of the race and be very competitive. Most interesting to see how he handles the step up to 1550m following his two recent wins over 1400m. His rider and apprentice Sam Weatherley is looking to make it 3 wins in a row!
Mo The Great is having zero luck with the barrier draws, once again jumping from the extreme outside in race 6. He was very gallant last start when racing 3 wide without cover the entire trip and looks a great each-way chance here if he can find a bum to follow.
Manhattan Mist has drawn barrier 12 of 13 runners in the last race. No doubt a tricky barrier, but after looking at the speed map there is a good chance if he jumps cleanly he could roll forward and settle on-pace. Of course we saw him bungle the start last time around, losing 3 lengths and he was only beaten just over 4 lengths at the finish.
