This outstanding Nathaniel x Mamma Rocco brown colt is by Champion European sire Nathaniel multiple Group one winning son of Galileo. Nathaniel begun his career finishing second less than half a length behind Frankel over the mile, beating the rest of the field by over five lengths. Nathaniel developed into an exceptionally talented galloper winning multiple Group 1 races throughout England and Ireland  including Ascot King George IV Stakes and the Queen Elizabeth Stakes. The colt is the first foal of a half-sister to group 2 stakes winner mare Mouramara who is the dam of the exceptional performed Group 1 stayers Mourayn and Melbourne placegetter Mourilyan. Kim was wrapped to have secured Lot 10 Excelebration x Amalfi Cat colt $60,000 from the highly successful Yarraman Stud draft during the opening session of the Scone Yearling Sale.

Lot 10 Excelebration x Amalfi Colt is a lovely brown colt by Excelebration –  Irish bred son of Champion Australian sprinter Exceed And Excel showed his class retiring to Coolmore Stud after three exceptional Group 1 victories over the mile, including the time honoured Prix du Moulin de Longchamp, Dubai Duty Free Stakes and the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes. He was rated third best horse behind Frankel and Canford Cliffs and by the end of 2012 he was rated joint-third best horse in the world with Black Cavier, behind only Frankel and Cirrus des Aigles.

Kim secures All American x Kimillsy colt at the Magic Millions SOLD

Kim was absolutely thrilled to have secured Lot 140 during yesterday’s opening session of the Magic Millions yearling sale on the Gold Coast.

The lovely brown colt is by the highly successful Arrowfield sire All American and is the third foal of Kimillsy, Kim’s former outstanding race mare who competed at the highest level in particular during her 3yr old season, running second to Samantha Miss in Group One Tea Rose Stakes and again a gutsy third in the Group One Flight Stakes. It was no secret what Kim thought of Kimillsy, she held the mare in the highest regard, Kim is adamant that she would have won at group level had she stayed sound during her career.

The colt is a half-brother to promising three year old Calabasas who has already tasted success on the racetrack for a wonderful group of owners of the stable and Kim is excited to have secured another quality colt from the highly talented mare Kimillsy for stable clients. The colt is a cracking type, he’s very athletic with lovely loose action. The colt is a nice early foal and looks to be an ideal type to target the rich Magic Millions races during his two and three year old seasons.

Former Godolphin galloper Chicago Stomp joins the stable – SOLD

Kim was successful in securing former Godolphin galloper Chicago Stomp at the William Inglis December Thoroughbred Sale in Melbourne this afternoon. Chicago Stomp is a lightly raced 4yr old by the ill-fated Street Cry sire of the all-conquering champion race mare Winz out of multiple city city winner Tobuggie Woogie and is half-sister to stakes placed filly Dream First. Chicago Stomp has shown promise in each of his four starts under the Goldolpin banner including an impressive debut performance when showing a nice turn of foot to sprint quickly over 1400m.

Kim was wrapped to have purchased a lightly raced progressive son by Street Cry in Chicago Stomp for the stable. “Chicago Stomp is a lovely type with a strong female pedigree. We have studied all four of his starts and he looks to be a nice horse in the making and looks an ideal type to race through the grades and I’m sure the stable will have some fun with” added Kim.

Kim has already enjoyed success with tried horses from the Goldolpin / Darley Racing Operation. Forget was purchased on behalf of stable clients in 2013 has become a great money spinner for the stable and has gone on the win 7 races and over $350, 000 in prizemoney including the Group three Cameron Stakes for the stable whilst Censor whom she purchased for the bargin price $30,000 has gone on to race 13 times for the stable for 2 wins including a Saturday Metro win and over $86,000 for his connections.

The colt is by the AP Indy stallion Congrats –  In a long and successful race track career Congrats competed against the elite sprinters of North America over many seasons with a career defining victory in the Group 2 Santa Anita San Pasqual Hcp along with multiple group placings including runner up in the Group 1 Santa Anita Hcp.Congrats retired to become North America’s Champion Freshman Sire in 2010, leading a stellar group including Bernardini and War Front. In 2014, he was America’s #3 Juvenile Sire, and again the #1 Juvenile Sire by A.P. Indy. In 2015, he was a Top 10 Sire of Winners. Congrats oldest Australian progeny are currently 3yr olds. Japanese stayer joins Kim Waugh Racing – SOLD

Kim was excited to hear the news that promising 3yr old stayer Meiner Freccia will be joining the stable at the end of the month.

The Northern hemisphere 3yr old was bred by The Big Red Farm. The colt is the second foal from the  Meiner Love mare Cosmo Dearest – a 1000m winner as a 2yr old and is by the Sunday Silence stallion Stay Gold. Stay Gold was a top performer for Shadai Race Horse Co., winning both the Hong Kong Vase (HK-I) and the Dubai Sheema Classic (UAE-II) as a 7-year-old in 2001 for trainer Yasuo Ikee. Stay Gold retired after winning the Vase with earnings of more than $8.6 million. As a sire, he has 521 winners with combined earnings of more than $170 million over 11 crops of racing age. Stay Gold is the sire of Japanese Triple Crown winner and Horse of the Year Orfevre.

Meiner Freccia is a lightly raced galloper who has shown strong staying potential, which has included 9 minor placings from his 15 career starts to date. “Very exciting to get the opportunity to secure a stayer of this nature. The Japanese stayers are the best in the world and Meiner Freccia looks to be a very promising stayer in the making. The colt has a nice balance of speed verses stamina in his pedigree which  augurs well for racing here in Australia.” added Kim.

Star Witness impressive winner of the Group 1 Blue Diamond stakes as a 2yr old and Group 1 winner of the Coolmore Stud Stakes during his 3yr old career, rated top Champion 3yr old Sprinter. Star Witness eldest progeny are two years olds.”They both very athletic running types. The filly looks like an early 2yr old  whilst the colt is well related with a nice mix of speed and stamina in his pedigree looks more a late maturing two year old type” said Kim.

This lovely well developed Chestnut filly dam Jesterchine by Rory’s Jester was a stakes placed 2yr old and is a half-sister to three winners including Starchine winner of 4 races and over $112,000 in stakes. “The filly has a strong Rory’s Jester influence she has a strong well developed hind quarter and looks a natural running type, ideal early 2yr old” added Kim.
