Could I Be steps will take her place in race 7 The Royal Hotel Richmond Benchmark 65 over 1400m at Hawkesbury on Thursday following her scratching from Muswellbrook on Easter Sunday.
The Dream Ahead filly heads to Hawkesbury fit and well with the stable more than happy with Could I Be and feeling that the step up to the seven furlongs look’s very suitable option and a natural progression after four runs this prep. “Could I Be is very well, she was very strong when breaking her maiden status at Port Macquarie two runs ago and things didn’t quite go her way at Gosford last start she travelled well mid-field before racing without luck and has a chequered path to the line before finishing fifth. Thursday’s assignment looks a good race on paper and I feel that the tempo of the 1400m event will be a more suitable option for Could I Be and I’m sure she will appreciate the roomier Hawkesbury circuit. Andrew Gibbons know the filly well and reunites with Could I be on Sunday” added Kim
